Angthong Marine Park Tour | Koh Samui Day Trips
Angthong Marine Park is an archipelago that lies to the northeast of Koh Samui made up of 42 islands covering an area of 102 square kilometers. A day trip by speedboat is not too be missed during a stay in Koh Samui.
Speedboats leave at 9am after a light buffet breakfast at the pier. The first stop is a rocky island surrounded by idyllic corals and clear waters where guests can snorkel and swim. The next stop is the ‘Emerald Lake’ island where you can climb up to a viewing point overlooking over an emerald colored salt-water lake in the island’s interior. Then its off to another island for a short kayaking tour along the coast and through some caves.
Next on the interior is a stop on the main island, Koh Wua Talap, where there is a ranger station, shop, bar and restaurant for lunch (lunch is included in the tour). After lunch visitors can relax and explore the island. There is a small museum with a whale skeleton, several sign-posted trails to viewing points and a cave to explore. Or you can simply relax on the beach and try to catch a glimpse of monkeys in the dense rain forest that surrounds the beach and clearing.
The boat returns to Koh Samui at around 4.30pm. Please contact us to book your Angthong Marine Park speedboat tour!
